1) Senior Bowl Talk
Talk and talk and talk. And I listen. There is talk of boosted stock and sliding stock, and certainly there is plenty to be lost and gained by the microscope players are under. I know I am shuffling my mental mock drafts on the vision and words of the experts. Just wait till the combine, then we will see the discussion amped up!
2) Draft Preview - TE
A few solid TE's but no superstars are in the draft. Kellen Davis of Michigan State, John Carlson of ND, Rucker of Missouri and Davis or USC are the top flight guys it seems, but only Carlson/Davis appear late first round guys. Who are the teams in the market? I think Seattle, Green Bay, Oakland, Philadelphia and Carolina are all places in the tight end market.
3) Eli...the verdict
Playing in the tough New York market, there is constant scrutiny of Manning. Is he the franchise QB of the Giants or not? Early in the season most said no. The late season run has them saying yes. I hate to think it but his Superbowl performance, win or lose, will be huge for him. Either way, I say it doesn't matter. He is the Giants guy now and into the future. Noone should expect him to be Peyton.
