1) Burning Track
Some crazy times at the combine in the 40 with the RB class really helping themselves. McFadden probably raised his stock with a 4.33, Mendenhall and Jonathon Stewart both cemented first round picks and Chris Johnson and Kevin Smith probably earnt their second round money. In the WR group DeSean Jackson and Limas Sweed did their cause no harm with blistering times, but Mario Manningham in the 4.5's probably raised some eyebrows, however he stood out a mile in the passing drills, so expect him to still be one of the first WR taken.
2) Vernon Gholston is a beast
People were concerned about his size as a 4-3 end, but after putting up 37 bench press reps (the equal most at the combine) forget about it. Now he is of great value to the 4-3 teams as well as the 3-4 teams keen to switch him to OLB. Can't wait to see what he runs.
3) Number of people working out
Fantastic to see so many of the top players working out after some down years. All have only helped to solidify their status. The QB picture doesn't appear to be any clearer, but Ryan and Brohm look to have cemented a first round pick, with Henne and Flacco set for second. Andre Woodson is a question mark in the second, and may end up in the third. JD Booty could benefit from Woodson's slide with some teams keen for options.
