10 MAR - 2008

1) Reunited.

It is a theme common this off-season, players returning to clubs that had previously cut or traded them. Warrick Dunn (Tampa) and Trent Green (St Louis) are the two most recent players to do this, following on from Jevon Kearse among others. Notable is that all are relatively late in their careers and probably less likely to command the money they once sought or could get on the open market.

2) Seattle Signings Signal Shakeup

Look for the next mock draft to take Seattle out of the rookie RB sweepstakes. Already the backfield is overly crowded, don't expect an early pick for the Seahawks in the backfield. Now they can look to add perhaps a guy like Kenny Phillips if he is aviailable or more likely an offensive lineman. There is a chance a third round pick could go on a RB. How bout a wildcard pick - if Brian Brohm is available at the bottom of the first, the time could be now to start grooming the replacement to Matt Hasselbeck.

3) Manningham Moving

Such is the stock put into the 40 yard dash, I have seen plenty of draft 'experts' have Manningham fall out of the first round. I don't see it. Watch him on film, then draft him. Plus who knows what he will run at his Pro Day. If someone late first or early second is lucky enough to get him, then he can make someone look silly.
