2 MAR - 2008

1) DT's Moving

This free agency period has seen unprecedented movement of defensive tackles. Stroud, Rogers, Williams and Robertson have all been traded this period so far. That suggests what has already been identified - that the DT crop in the draft isn't deep. Some teams have definitely met their needs (Cleveland and Cincinatti) and some now have needs - Jacksonville, Detroit. Neither are expected to have a pick high enough to land the top to DT's although Kentwan Balmer may be a chance.

2) Dunn in Atlanta

As the Falcons signed Michael Turner, the end is near for veteran Warwick Dunn. Dunn should get some play for a team look for depth at RB, but he is unlikely to get a starting spot. Where might be land? How about San Diego who are no looking for more depth behind LT. Or Chicago who are hoping for more options beyond Cedric Benson, or perhaps Buffalo. Turner in Atlanta removes them from the McFadden picture.

3) Cleveland a Superbowl Contender?

That is some of the buzz after their outstanding free agency period. With some offensive weapons and a host of improvements to the defense, the Browns should improve on their 10 win season. Just how far will they improve? I expect a playoff berth at least.
