1) Naughty Niners

In their attempts too lure Lance Briggs to the Bay, San Francisco, it appears, have 'tampered' and as a result have been penalised by the NFL. A loss of 5th round pick and swap of third round picks is deemed the penalty. Briggs stayed in the Windy City, so the Niners obviously are hopeless at tampering. Maybe Alex Smith does their tampering!

2) Kirwan Forecasts Controversy

Pat Kirwan is tipping the Green Bay Packers to take a stab at Brian Brohm at the end of the first round in next month's draft to set up a controversy in Green Bay. For a team that is overcoming the retirement of a member of Lambeau legend, it seems not the best way to move ahead. My mock has them ignoring a QB till the 4th or 5th and bringing in a veteran to support Rogers, plus I have Brohm going earlier.

3) Marshall manhandled; will be missing

3 months is the word on the broken arm suffered by Broncos WR Brandon Marshall who broke his arm wrestling with his family members over the weekend. The Broncos WR corps are already thin, so a healthy Marshall is a must.
