1) Pro Days Coming
Most of the big moves have been made in Free Agency, so with scouts aware of what they need in the draft, focus turns back to campus. Some players will separate themselves from the pack with a great Pro Day, others will try to make up for a disappointing combine. We soon get a real idea of what Miami is planning.
2) Another first rounder to the Jags
Jacksonville has added former First Round DT Jimmy Kennedy to its team after the Bears didn't match the offer. This presents a great opportunity for Kennedy who didn't live up to expectations. The Jags, with only a $705000 1 year deal don't stand to lose much if it goes wrong. They can get a year of depth until a longer term solution is presented.
3) All Quiet on the Disgruntled Players Front
CHad Johnson and D'Angelo Hall haven't even had their name mentioned. Does that mean they have calmed and accepted a return to their clubs? Who knows, but draft day may still see some movement.
4) Favre Farewell
It seems only fair that one of the greats gets his own #4 item. After 17 years Favre is packing it in, suggesting he is tired. My pet hate at the moment is all the writers who are claiming he and the Packers will regret him retiring now. Where were those writers 2 years ago after Favre had a less than stellar season? Begging him to retire I am sure. The reality is the Packers were always going to regret when Favre retired, how can you replace him (just ask the Dolphins about replacing a legend). Aaron Rodgers finally gets his shot, and he should be well prepared, but it is a tough ask. So his final pass was an NFC Championship Game INT that lead to a Giants win. That won't be his legacy.
