5 MAR - 2008

1) Will the Packers Draft a QB

Noone is 100% sold on Aaron Rodgers it seems, but he will be the guy in the toughest job going for the 2008 season. Will there be draft interest for the Packers at QB? My thought is yes, but only a later round guy, someone in the 5th round. I would keep my eye on Erik Ainge out of Tennessee or maybe even Colt Brennan. Rodgers looked strong in his relief role against the Cowboys, but one has to wonder if someone like Chad Henne is on the board in the second round whether or not the Packers contemplate it. If JD Booty is on the board in the 4th, I would think he could get the nod. The Packers will surely look for a veteran in Free Agency, so expect someone like Gus Frerotte, Mark Brunell or any of the Bucs QB's who are released to get a look. A young QB like ex-Jag Quinn Gray may also be considered.

2) Dolphins facing Long wait

Either way it will be a Long taken by the Dolphins. I don't buy into the Matt Ryan interest, surely they are just playing up for prospective trade partners, but with a team having so many holes, first round isn't where QB is going now for the Dolphins.

3) Gruden Stockpiling QB's again

Anyone who thought Gruden had a pile of QB's already must be amazed that they continue to add to the collection, with 5 now on the roster, plus the rights to Jake Plummer. My thought is Chris Simms becomes available and would be of value to some teams.
