1) Browns to Snooze Come Draft Day
No draft picks in the first three rounds for the Browns means a pretty laid back experience. The busy start to the free agency period accounted for much of the energy after knowing Brady Quinn was the player picked in their trade of first round picks with Shaun Rogers and Corey Williams the second and third rounders. Still some needs to address for depth at CB and in the backfield. Not sure if they will get big difference makers in the lower rounds, but that is where things sit at the moment. For the Rb spots, look for the Browns to follow progress in Seattle, where it appears things are crowded or perhaps Warrick Dunn.
2) Seattle Features Loaded Backfield
Shaun Alexander, Maurice Morris, TJ Duckett and Julius Jones. Quite a stable of backs. Problem is, not all can remain. My money is on Shaun Alexander to exit the team where he was the NFL rushing champ after a couple of down years. Injury concerns also linger over Alexander. There wasn't a trade market for him after his league leading season, so there won't be one now.
3) Inactive FA Teams
The Redskins have been surprisingly quiet in Free Agency, a big change from previous years. Kansas City and Indianapolis have also been non-factors and Baltimore has been quiet. Fans love to see action on their rosters and these teams have been taking it very easy. The Chiefs really could have been more active with some large roster gaps, particularly on the O Line. Time will tell.
