1) First Picking Contract Negotiations Underway
No team wants to draft first overall and then have a prolonged hold-out, so the Dolphins are doing their due diligence in negotiating on contracts with prospective first picks including Jake Long and Vernon Gholston. One could argue that the best contract for the Dolphins could be the one they pick, rather than the player.
2) Rule Change Rambling
Scrolling through some message boards and fan sites the new rule about force-outs seems to be causing unnecessary grief. It is quite simple, get your feet down in bounds or it is an incomplete pass. Others have suggested the description about not being able to carried over the sideline isn't clear enough. My thought - that is why refs have a whistle.
3) College QB Debates - USC
Who starts in Troy this year? Mark Sanchez or transfer Mitch Mustain. Sanchez is the senior and considered more ready and performed adequately in duty last year. Mustain has more potential upside, but is he ready. Either way, they have to be happy with the supporting cast.
