1) Introducing the 3PS Jinx
After giving some praise to the Vanderbilt football team a couple of weeks back, their season has taken a drastic step backwards with some disappointing losses. I feel now compelled to take responsibility for the losses as some kind of jinx put on the team. Hmm, who else can I take down. How about the Titans. May as well pick on all Tennessee teams. Oh, I would have given some props to OSU but they already got handled today by Penn State.
2) Contest Winner Gets a Kickstart from TTU
For kicking a 30 yard field goal at halftime, he already won a 6 months free rent, but Texas Tech student Matt Williams now could win a much cooler prize - a walkon roster position for the Red Raiders. After landing the kick with what was described as a 'sweet and smooth' kick, Texas Tech coach Mike Leach had someone track down the kid for a walk-on invite. Timing is everything and after the 4 missed PATs this season, Williams just might get his shot!
3) Keepin' it in Texas
Longhorns remain at #1 and COlt McCoy has ensured he remains #1 with his fans after announcing he will be back in Austin next year. He may well have booked a trip to NY for the Heisman finals and also is on the verge of a trip to Miami for the BCSNCG. However, the formentioned Red Raiders would like to take the bragging rights in the Lone Star state in what should be an interesting next week matchup
