Which Teams Fared Best on Day 1

Here are 4 teams I think really helped themselves and didn't give up the world for it.

Seattle - With the best player (Aaron Curry) in the draft, and a new starter in OL Max Unger, the Seahawks have improved their team greatly by holding their spot and moving back in the second.

Philadelphia - The Eagles went on the offensive and got two playmakers - WR Jeremy Maclin from Missouri and RB LeSean McCoy from Pittsburgh. Sure they gave up a 6th to climb two spots to get Maclin, but the Eagles addressed their needs and got great value.

New York Giants - Three picks and 3 playmakers who fit a need. Hakeem Nicks is great value and a much-needed offensive addition. Clint Sintim will compete to start at LB and William Beatty is the left tackle of the future.

New England - They traded back and back and back before getting first-round talent Darius Butler in the second, standout Oregon safety Patrick Chung, nose tackle Ron Brace in the second along with good solid pass protector Sebastian Vollmer from Houston late in Round 2. Most teams would have pulled the trigger at #23 in the first round on Butler, so their gameplan was solid.
