1) Long Goes #1...Just not the one I thought!
So there was no smokescreen as Jake Long was the Dolphins favourite, the team agreeing to terms with the Michigan OT. Effectively now this makes St Louis on the clock. How will this affect the draft? In a decent way I think. Stay tuned for my final mock draft tomorrow!
2) Allen a Viking
Speculation has come to fruition as Jared Allen was traded to the Vikings for 3 picks, in a great move for the Chiefs. The Chiefs, although losing a star player (who they were probably going to lose next year anyway), get the chance to pick 3 new players in the first and two in the 3rd.
3) More Movement
Pacman to Dallas is now a formality, for suprisingly only a 4th rounder. The delays in reinstatement talks probably brought value down. Seattle has released Shaun Alexander. Not overly suprising and discussed in this blog a few times after the acquisition of Duckett and Julius Jones. Look for Alexander to appear in Tampa Bay (my hot tip).
