Pre-Draft Team Needs #1

AFC South

Jacksonville -

The Jags have clear needs on the Defensive Line. With a lack of depth and youth at Defensive End, it would be ideal for Derek Harvey or Phillip Merling to fall to the Jags. Defensive tackle is also a need, with Stroud gone, so perhaps Kentwaan Balmer in the first could be an option. Many draft pundits have the Jags going OLine in the first, but with the resigning of Mo Williams, they can wait till the second or third for O Line unless one of the premier players falls into their lap. Some will suggest WR is still a need, but another WR pick cannot be afforded. Look for another safety and some LB depth to also be on the agenda.

Indianapolis -

The Colts have had some players leave over the past couple of years, so look for Linebacker to get some attention in the draft. There are plenty of speedy Cover 2 type players. Offensive Line, Running Back and Safety will also need to be addressed and there is a definite need for depth at Defensive End, with a huge drop off after Freeney and Mathis. A big tackle to anchor the middle of the D Line would also be helpful.

Houston -

Running Back and Wide Receiver sit high on the Texans needs list to boost the offense. Andre Johnson needs a legitimate threat opposite him to ensure success and some speed and youth in the backfield to cover for the aging Ahman Green and Ron Dayne can't be ignored. Many would suggest O Line as another area of need, so look for the second day to cover this. The secondary too could use some help.

Tennessee -

Plenty of gaps to fill. Wide Receiver and Defensive End are the two first round priorities for the Titans, and they should be able to pick a highly rated player at either position. Some more youth at LB and another CB to play with Finnegan and Griffin would be valuable. Offensive Line needs some second day attention as well.
